Returning aboard the motorcycles proceed in the direction of one of Etna's most famous lava flow caves (lava tube) and here, as only in Iceland, you are captivated by the charm that a dark and deep atrium emanates. . Equipped with helmets and torches we visit the lava tunnel. We continue in the direction of Rifugio Sapienza (altitude 2000 m above sea level), here the landscape becomes lunar and the green woods of Etna leave room for the recent black castings (of 2002) and the lava desert. We make a first stop on the lava sand, where you can observe the latest plant manifestations such as the Astracalus and the Saponaria (succulents), and walk on the recent volcanic ash.
