Etna Trekking Tour

This excursion is suitable only for good walkers, provides adequate physical condition and technical equipment. Hiking shoes and windbreakers are mandatory. Backpack and hiking poles recommended. On request we can rent all or part of the technical equipment.
The duration of the walk is about 5 hours A/R.
With our vehicles we reach the beginning of the path that develops uphill into a magnificent forest that soon leaves room for the expanses of volcanic ash and Astragalus Siculus o Spino Santo, between its thorns we can observe and touch volcanic lapilli that sometimes have only a few hours of life.
It is a pioneering formation characterized by a typical pulvinare form that settles on the volcanic sands inconsistent and permeable, is an endemic ethnicity that, thanks to its developed root system, stabilizes inconsistent substrates, facilitating other orophilic species, many of which are endemic and exclusive to Etna, including the Viola Aetnensis.

Arrived at the top of the path awaits us a wonderful show, to frame us will be in fact majesty Sommitali Craters and the huge Valle del Bove. Return to the vehicle and return to the starting point.
