Let's start from Piazza Duomo by visiting the majestic cathedral of Catania dedicated to the Santuzza: Sant’Agata. We continue our visit in the square telling the legends and the history of the 'Liotru', the elephant fountain, and the underground river that flows into the Amenano fountain or more Sicilianly called 'Acqua o' Linzolu '.
We entry in the colors, smells and sounds of one of the vital centers of the city: the Pescheria, where we will visit the remains of the door of Charles V; then we return to Piazza Duomo from Porta Uzeda.
We move to Via Vittorio Emanuele to visit the archaeological complex of the Roman theater and Oden set among the historic houses of the neighborhood.
We continue in one of the most beautiful streets of the city Via Crociferi. Here we will talk about the thousand legends of street and chuerches.
We head towards the Benedictine Monastery, a place rich of history and culture and venue of the University of Catania; here we will talk about the eruption that buried and destroyed part of the city. We continue to Via Etnea passing through Piazza Università.
We then go in Via Etnea and head towards Via Manzoni, where we will admire one of the hidden views of Roman Catania; then we arrive in Piazza Stesicoro and we will talk about the second largest amphitheater in the world in antiquity.
Then we will visit the largest public garden in the city: Villa Bellini and later, we will stop for lunch to taste some Sicilian specialties in one of the historic bars of Catania.
We move, by car / minibus, to the neighboring village of Aci Trezza, here we will walk looking at one of the most beautiful point of the village, we will admire the Faraglioni of the Ulysses myth and will talk about legends and curiosities.
